Coyuchi is a leading organic cotton bedding, bath, baby and wearables company founded in the rustic beauty surrounding the idyllic village of Point Reyes Station, forty miles northwest of San Francisco. Nestled between Black Mountain and 6,800 acres of pristine estuary, we design, reflect and work in the geographic heart of western Marin County, the cradle of the organic, clean air, and clean water movements in the US. We pioneered the application of the principles and practices of certified organic and fair trade to the bedding and bath industry, and are dedicated to designing and producing linens and other products for the home that are to be cherished, not thrown away.
From earliest time, the four fundamentals for life were food, shelter, cloth and community. Given the versatility of cloth – its comfort, safety and beauty, we consider it a metaphor for entrepreneurship, social equity, commonality of rich and poor. The fiber from which thread is spun and cloth is made determines its purity, personality, durability and value. The method of cultivation of the plant that produces the fiber determines the health and sustainability not only of the farming communities who produce it, but of the land on which it is grown.
